Wicked Wolf

Renowned food reviewer Bailey Provetto, the founder of Tasty Ladies New York, reviews BID restaurants

Comfort food is at its best at the Wicked Wolf, with an abundance of choices and a friendly atmosphere and staff.

We started with their home made soups to warm the cockles of our hearts. The French onion soup was so good with caramelized onions in a delicious broth with a good covering of cheese melting over on the sides of the crock. The lentil soup was thick with tender lentils, tons of veggies and seasoned perfectly.

Our entrees were old fashioned dishes of Shepard’s pie with a great mashed potato crust on top. The true winner was the Beef Stroganoff with tender chunks of beef in a sumptuous cream sauce over egg noodles .

Their menu has a large selection of comfort food, including burgers, salads, German cuisine, pastas, seafood and grill food with a full bar and wicked cocktails.

Would have loved to have One of their decadent desserts, but with the huge portions and endless bread basket we were too full! Maybe we will start with dessert first next time!

They have a great weekend brunch and specialty days of Monday Taco, wing specials, and Prime Rib.

Crosstown Diner

The best BID restaurant reviews are here! Renowned food reviewer Bailey Provetto, the founder of Tasty Ladies New York, reviews BID restaurants.

We have the best diner right here in The Bronx. The Crosstown Diner won the #Foodfight2019 and with good reason.

Tastylady Bailey sipped on a Jolly Rancher, while enjoying the best chicken chili served with chips and a Monster bacon cheese burger with onion rings and fries.

My partner had a delicious pot roast with mash and carrots.

My dinner special of $19 came with your choice of app, etizer, entree and dessert which I had with their always creamy and luscious rice pudding with whip topping and cinnamon powder sparkled on top.

Service was top notch with Renn, and we saw Billy the owner.

 Great place in our neighborhood.

PARQ Sports Bar

The best BID restaurant reviews are here! Renowned food reviewer Bailey Provetto, the founder of Tasty Ladies New York, reviews BID restaurants.

Parq is located where the old Spoto’s was on East Tremont Avenue. From the outside it is dark and almost looks closed, but venture inside and see the stunning transformation with beautiful white plush booths and electric, colorful water art on the walls with huge ever changing color ceiling lighting making this venue a unique experience, be it for lunch, dinner, happy hour (which starts at 1 pm to 8pm mon-fri) game night or music with the DJ Thursday, Friday and Sunday!

When I saw their menu I got excited. A varied selection of food from your typical fair of hamburgers and chicken wings to empanadas, flautas, calamari, surf and turf, shrimp vocado, pork chops and fried pork chunks and much more!

We decided to try the cheeseburger with seasoned fries, beef empanadas, chicken flautas and guacamole and chips. Everything was plated pleasingly and all were very good!

I ordered a “Smokey Joe” off their specialty cocktail list with Barcardi Limon with lemonade and grenadine which was a beautiful ruby color and was so nice!

We ended on a decadent sweet note with the fried cheesecake with complimenting swirls of chocolate and raspberry.

Manny you done good! You created a very comfortable yet exciting new go to spot in our neighborhood and I can’t wait to bring in my gang to try more of your cuisine and cocktails!

Patricia’s

Bailey Provetto, the founder of Tasty Ladies New York, will review BID restaurants. Visit our website regularly for the latest delicious news.

Giacomo & Gennaro’s Patricia’s of Tremont has remodeled its restaurant and it is gorgeous. Now with an even bigger dining room than before!

The special of the day was “Homemade Butternut Squash Soup” with crispy Pancetta and popcorn, yes popcorn… it was sensational and perfect for the fall season!

The special entree of the “Braised Beef Short Rib in a Portobello Mushroom Port Wine Sauce” was amazing! The meat was so tender and flavorful and it came with roasted potatoes, sautéed string beans and a side of pasta. This is a dish to remember!

We also had their meatballs and cheese raviolis all served with bread and seasoned oil for dipping and their thin crust pizza to start.

They have a dine in only special now of (5) appetizers, (2) pastas, (2) entrees served with coffee and dessert with your choice of Sangria, wine, beer or soda included for only $50 per person! That’s a deal!

They are COVID COMPLIANT with temperature check and info taken at the door, masks, social distancing and sanitizer at many stations.

NYC’s SBS Summary of Outdoor Dining Regs

Adjacent Properties

The City will allow restaurants to expand seating to the frontage of adjacent properties, as long as the adjacent property owners formally agree to the use of the space for a specified period of time and commit not to charge a fee for its use. The City will work with the State Liquor Authority on any requirements associated with extending alcohol service to the expanded seating in front of adjacent properties. In early October, the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) will issue a template agreement and provide instructions on how to file the agreements. Adjacent properties may not be used prior to the release of official instructions and formal agreements.

Heating

As cooler weather arrives, the City will allow restaurants to incorporate heating elements into their outdoor dining setups. Electrical heaters will be allowed on both sidewalk and roadway. Propane and natural gas heaters will be allowed on sidewalks only; they will remain prohibited in roadway seating. Propane will require a permit from FDNY and compliance with FDNY regulations for outdoor use, handling and secure outdoor tank storage overnight. Official guidance on what will be considered approved installation and use of heating elements will be released before the end of September, and restaurants are prohibited from installing heating elements until guidelines are released and followed.

Tents

Restaurants will also be permitted to use tent enclosures to keep diners warm. In partial tent enclosures, at least 50% of the tent’s side wall surface area must remain open and electrical heaters are allowed. In full tent enclosures, the tent’s side walls may be closed but occupancy limitations will be capped at 25% of capacity, and indoor dining guidelines must be followed; electrical heaters will also be allowed. Enclosed structures, such as plastic domes, will be allowed for individual parties and must have adequate ventilation to allow for air circulation.

Roadway Safety

As the program’s duration will now continue through the winter months, and winter weather creates potential for inclement weather to impact road conditions, the City will engage the restaurant industry and other stakeholders to develop additional safety features to further strengthen roadway barriers. To ensure timely implementation, the City will require restaurant owners to comply with new safety features by November 15, 2020. In addition, significant snow events may necessitate the temporary removal of some barriers from the roadway.
